The Rustic Arms is a country pub in Ackworth, a scenic location in Yorkshire. By far the biggest challenge for a business like this is attracting customers from afar and that is the problem we were faced with from the start. However it’s a problem we promptly solved due to The Rustic Arms excellent food and service, and a well designed website and effective social media campaign.
What We Did
• Website Design
The website design is clean and easy to use. The site is used as a central locaiton to assist The Rustic Arms promote their events and attract new customers. The events module allows the client to post the required details needed to attract customers to the venue, and the fields are populated in a way that pasting the URL across their social media channels effectively populates the correct fields such as the title, description and a correctly sized image.
The website is also regularly updated with their seasonal menus and allows customers to interact with pub staff through conversation forms placed throughout the site, which also assists with taking online bookings.
• Graphic Design
To further help promote events we create a series of posters which are placed around the venue. We even got involved with where the posters should be placed, for example above the urinals in the mens toilets and on the back of cubicle doors in the ladies toilets. The posters also appear at both entrances of the venue and this attention to detail has helped increase the turnout of events whether they are at weekend or through the week.
• Online Marketing
Once an event is confirmed and posted to the website we then take responsibility of promoting the event through the right channels in order to raise awareness.
The Rustic Arms has seen a huge increase in Facebook likes and Twitter followers since our involvement which has resulted in greater exposure and more customers through the door.
We keep the content of the social media campaign relevant to new and existing customers to offer the best chance of interaction by posting humorous posts amongst event promotion.
The word the client often uses when we speak to them is “busy”. Job done.
